Christmas

My work closes for nearly 2 weeks for Christmas every year which can be a little boring for a single person with no children & all my friends leave town. SO...I went to Idaho on Christmas night and spent nearly the entire week with Marie and her family. Tricia & her family were there too so I got to see them and also Mom & Dad Slade who left on another mission for a year. It was so much fun. The kids are growing up too fast and I can't get enough of them. I loved waking up in the morning to the kids standing at my door waiting for me to open my eyes and as soon as I do they all run into the room and climb on me.
And I love, love, LOVE being able to spend time with Marie. We laugh at nothing and have fun doing nothing. We went to Zumba and I realized that I have no rhythm whatsoever! Marie is truly my best friend. I am convinced that we were friends in the pre-existence. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
Then I came home and partied like a rock star for New Year's @ my friend Jared's house. Good times. Then I got sick and I am still trying to get over that - Its been over 2 weeks!
Then my friend Kim got engaged (typical thing to happen to almost anyone who is my friend) so we are now planning her wedding which is always a good time. Still love my ward and am enjoying it as much as I can before they kick me out, which is going to be sooner than I'd like it to be I think.

Marie, you know what tequila does to you... it's know wonder you've been sick for 2 weeks!:D I'm glad to hear everything worked out with your house so quickly. We've had two offers fall through on ours now thanks to the bank playing hardball... but we're not in a hurry, so it's OK. We need to get together again soon!!!

I think I found the solution to future "Kim" situations. You need to be your own friend. . . now how do we do that. Glad you had fun with my sisters. We miss being close enough to see you at random places.

Dood! you are a rock star! We did body pumps, laughed, played wordfued at night (in the same room while watching tv) we didn't just do nothing we rocked the house...including going to target at 7:30 in the morning AND seeing True Grit - what a Grrrreat show...not really- it was ok but not my fave. Any hoo - yes I am certain we were besties before we got here. and yes, I am certain no one has as much fun as we do when we're together! I love your stinkin guts man!

Dood! I was so happy to be able to be there when you came- we had so much fun... why in the world are friendships like that so hard to come by? I'm so thankful that you and Marie do the work it takes to keep it intact... you're the best... and you cannot be replaced, therefore, your fears of being forced out of your ward are unfounded ;-) ... You are the best... sorry if you got the "sick" that I got... I would never give that to you on purpose... glad your feeling better...
